This role focuses on assembling complex electro-mechanical products within a cleanroom environment, following detailed prints and drawings to meet daily build quantity goals. You work at a dedicated bench station where parts and tools are prepared in advance, performing both mechanical and electrical assembly while maintaining tight build tolerances through the use of precision quality inspection instruments.

Responsibilities

• Meet assigned product build quantity goals on a daily basis while maintaining high quality standards.
• Review and follow assembly prints and drawings on a computer to complete full electromechanical builds accurately.
• Perform mechanical assembly at a bench station, including installing screws, bolts, framing, housings, and related hardware.
• Perform electrical assembly tasks such as laying in wires, routing connections, and ensuring proper electrical integration.
• Use hand and power tools, including impact drivers, manual and electric screwdrivers, and T-handle Allen wrenches (ball head and flat head), to assemble components safely and efficiently.
• Utilize quality inspection instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and thread gauges to verify build tolerances, including .03 micron tolerance requirements.
• Read and interpret both metric and standard tape measures to ensure precise measurements during assembly.
• Work consistently within a cleanroom environment, following established procedures and cleanliness standards.
• Collaborate with a team of assemblers to support production goals and maintain a smooth workflow.
• Maintain an organized work area, ensuring tools and parts are properly handled and returned to designated locations.

Essential Skills

• 35 years of technical assembly experience performing full electromechanical builds.
• 35 years of experience reading and interpreting assembly drawings and prints.
• 35 years of experience using hand and power tools, including impact drivers, manual screwdrivers, electric screwdrivers, and T-handle Allen wrenches (ball head and flat head).
• 35 years of experience reading both metric and standard tape measures for precise measurement.
• 35 years of experience using precision instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment and following cleanroom protocols.
• Ability to work with and verify .03 micron tolerances using appropriate quality instruments.
• Proficiency with height gauges, thread gauges, or similar quality inspection tools.
• Ability to follow detailed technical documentation and prints on a computer.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining tight build tolerances.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Background in cleanroom production or assembly operations.
• Experience with complex electro-mechanical assemblies, including robotics, microchip-related products, or custom machined components.
• Comfort working with both mechanical and electrical components in a bench assembly setting.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team of 1416 people in a production environment.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and efficient workstation.

Work Environment

This position is based in a cleanroom, climate-controlled manufacturing facility that produces complex electro-mechanical assemblies for applications such as military robotics, medical microchips, and custom machined components. Work is performed at a bench station with parts and tools prepared in advance, using a variety of hand and power tools and precision measuring instruments. The role operates on a first-shift schedule.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miamisburg, OH.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
