VP of Finance

Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, A/P, A/R, payroll, inventory, COGS and tax compliance. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Develop, manage and maintain a sales reporting system for financial statement and sales commission purposes. Work with the CEO and CCO on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes. Partner with the CEO and department heads to provide actionable financial insights. Support board and investor reporting. Develop KPIs, dashboards, and financial models to guide business decision‑making. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filings. Manage annual financial audits and, as needed, coordinate tax preparations with external tax consultants. Develop internal controls and written accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk. Review and recommend upgraded accounting systems and integrate them into existing ERP and CRM platforms. Update accounting processes to support scaling, commercial‑stage medtech company growth. Support cross‑functional operations, including supply chain and manufacturing as financial complexity grows. Manage onboarding of new employees, working with an external HR firm. Help determine and recommend salary changes, annual bonuses, and other incentive compensation plans with the CEO and division leadership. Manage the cap table through existing online platform. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Demonstrated ability to build budgets, accounting systems, and teams from the ground up. Team‑oriented mentality and a willingness to take on tasks and responsibilities as needed. Experience with cloud‑based accounting and ERP platforms. CPA or similar highly preferred. Experience in a startup, VC‑backed, early‑stage or high‑growth company environment.
