Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (PRN) to provide school-based occupational therapy services at *Anya Itpak Elementary School*. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with students, educators, and families to help children develop the functional skills needed for academic success, independence, and participation in everyday school activities.

The therapist will evaluate students, develop individualized treatment plans, provide direct intervention, collaborate with IEP teams, and support classroom participation through evidence-based therapeutic practices.

Responsibilities

* Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for students.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with each student's educational goals.
* Provide direct occupational therapy services in individual and small-group settings.
* Improve fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, handwriting, sensory processing, self-regulation, executive functioning, and activities of daily living.
* Collaborate with teachers to implement classroom-based strategies that support student success.
* Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to educational planning.
* Complete timely documentation and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
* Consult with parents, caregivers, teachers, and school staff regarding student progress and home carryover activities.
* Maintain accurate records and complete Medicaid documentation when applicable.
* Work collaboratively with Speech-Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, Special Education Teachers, School Psychologists, and administration.

Qualifications

* Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
* Current Arizona Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure).
* NBCOT certification.
* Current CPR certification preferred.
* School-based pediatric experience preferred but not required.
* Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, and special education regulations is preferred.
* Experience working with sensory integration, autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and fine motor intervention is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.
