Adjunct Faculty – Health and Physical Education (Clinical Field Supervisor) Job No: 501595 Work type: Temporary – Part‑time Location: Glassboro, New Jersey Categories: Faculty – College of Education The College of Education at Rowan University is seeking qualified adjuncts in Health and Physical Education to teach a broad range of courses and supervise teacher candidates. Responsibilities Teach online, face‑to‑face, or hybrid courses. Supervise teacher candidates. Demonstrate a constructivist-based theoretical framework centered on a philosophy grounded in social justice. Qualifications Master’s or doctoral degree in Health and Physical Education or related field. Meet state licensure requirements for teachers. Minimum of 3 years successful teaching in P‑12 settings. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Commitment to fostering academic achievement, social and personal responsibility, and social justice. Commitment to collaboration, collegiality, professional development, diversity, scholarly inquiry, student learning, civic responsibility, and respect for all people. Experience working with P‑12 schools. Teaching/learning philosophy aligned with the mission of the College of Education. Preferred Experience with the Danielson Framework. Experience with performance assessment measures. Experience teaching in post‑secondary settings. Experience teaching content in areas such as technology in health and physical education, fitness, adapted physical education, secondary/elementary curriculum and instruction, motor development.
