TravelNurseSource is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Denver, Colorado, 80012!
Registered Nurse - PACULocation: Lakewood, Colorado
Start Date: 06-22-2026
End Date: 09-21-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Variable start times between 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM, primarily covering 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call requirements 1 night every 6 weeks including weekends and holidays
Hours per Week: 36
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care to post-surgical patients
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI procedures
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Respond to ICU patients recovering in the PACU with expert clinical judgment
- Read and interpret cardiac strips to maintain patient safety
- Support the unit during lunch relief and assist colleagues as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- PACU nursing expertise with Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Comfort managing vents, CPAP, and BiPAP equipment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to float as needed and adapt to changing priorities

Requirements
- Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- ED or ICU experience strongly preferred
- Epic EMR experience a plus
