Operations Manager

Overview As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers, lead a team, and have overall responsibility for planning, coordination, staffing, safety, and performance of your area. Your work supports the day-to-day operations of warehouse and distribution centers, including the storage and delivery of delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. Responsibilities Ensure new hires are thoroughly trained and ongoing training is provided to all employees to ensure their continued success. Support leadership and Human Resources to ensure DEI programs are embraced and valued. Oversee associates, manage work schedules, and ensure attendance is accurately recorded. Maintain employee awareness and compliance with QSHE (Quality, Safety & Health, Environment). Provide reporting and participate in weekly and monthly business reviews. Analyze process improvements and roll out agreed next steps. Establish clear communication channels between internal and external stakeholders. Make recommendations to improve operations using continuous improvement techniques, drive cost‑saving initiatives, and track savings. Participate in or lead BRMs (Business Review Meetings) and QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews); provide and present KPIs to customers and business stakeholders. Meet with customers and key contacts to achieve mutually defined goals. Complete advanced and complicated tasks requiring considerable judgment, problem resolution, and independent analysis. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of warehousing experience. 3–5 years of leadership experience in a distribution environment. 1+ year experience with leading and implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies and Continuous Improvement. Knowledge of various production and quality systems. Proficiency in Word, Excel (including complex spreadsheets), and PowerPoint. Benefits There has never been a better time to work in logistics.
