Medical Assistant (MA)ATC Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to provide clinical and administrative support in an ambulatory care setting. The Medical Assistant will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care while ensuring efficient clinic operations.Key Responsibilities:Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.Prepare patients for examinations and assist healthcare providers during procedures.Perform clinical duties such as specimen collection, EKGs, injections, and point-of-care testing within scope of practice.Administer medications and immunizations as permitted by state regulations and facility policy.Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals.Maintain accurate patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.Prepare, clean, and stock examination rooms and medical equipment.Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, follow-up care, and preventive health practices.Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, and safety protocols at all times.Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.Support daily clinic operations and perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required.Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) preferred or required by facility policy.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory, outpatient, or clinic setting preferred.Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems preferred.Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills.Required Skills:Patient care and clinical supportVital signs and patient assessmentSpecimen collection and laboratory proceduresEKGs and point-of-care testingElectronic Medical Records (EMR)Infection control and HIPAA complianceTime management and multitaskingStrong interpersonal and communication skillsTeam collaboration and customer serviceWhy Join Us?Competitive payWeekly pay (where applicable)Flexible Per Diem schedulingSupportive healthcare teamCareer growth and professional development opportunitiesSchedule:Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMLocation: St. Louis, MO 63110About ATC Healthcare Services:For more than 40 years, ATC Healthcare Services has been a trusted leader in healthcare staffing, connecting skilled healthcare professionals with hospitals, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, schools, and other healthcare organizations nationwide.
