Job Summary:
The Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse position is located in a Level 2 trauma center in Lewiston, Maine. This facility provides comprehensive emergency care services, including trauma, cardiovascular, cancer, orthopedic, women's and children's health, and primary care. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, covering pediatrics to geriatrics, with a focus on interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and ventilated patients.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH, TNCC certifications; minimum two years of experience in a non-trauma emergency department; must be able to interpret and manage dysrhythmias; experience with ventilated patients.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with wide range of patient diagnoses and treatments; comfort working with pediatric patients representing approximately 5% of cases.
• Additional Information: The ER unit includes 4 critical care bays and utilizes equipment such as ultrasound, bladder scanner, neuro tele computer, and Care Aware handheld devices. The electronic health record system includes Omnicell, EPIC, and SBAR. This facility serves a diverse patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics and is a recognized primary stroke and chest pain center. There is no PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit); patient transfers out may be required.
