Certified Surgical Tech- Full Time- Ten Mile Surgery Center

Purpose The Surgical Technologist (certified or licensed) serves as a member of the surgical team, responds to patient needs, prepares and maintains resources (equipment, instruments, supplies) and provides safe, quality health‑care services and/or assistance for surgical procedures in accordance with level of experience, education, policies, procedures, protocols and standards. Functional Role Tech / Support III – skilled: Licensed or certified direct‑health‑care role that supports the total peri‑operative process; provides intra‑operative patient care to patients as directed by the Director of Nursing, Medical Director or Quality Committee. Anticipates surgeon’s needs regarding medical supplies, instrumentation, and equipment availability and readiness; maintains a safe and clean operating room suite; assists with or ensures documentation and detailed records are kept; performs essential duties and techniques appropriate to the role, function and procedure; participates in quality improvement processes; may serve as a resource, role model and/or mentor. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Current certification from an accredited Surgical Technology program. At least one (1) year of experience in a health‑care or military medical setting. Meets requirements for applicable state(s) of engagement.
