Welding Quality InspectorWe are seeking an experienced Welding Quality Inspector to support fabrication operations by ensuring all welded components meet established codes, specifications, and internal quality expectations. This role is responsible for inspection oversight, welder qualification, and continuous quality improvement within a production environment.You'll play a key role in maintaining compliance, minimizing rework, and supporting efficient throughput by partnering closely with production and quality teams.What You'll DoConduct in-process and final inspections of structural welds to verify conformance with applicable standardsEvaluate weld fit-up, joint preparation, and overall workmanship during fabricationCertify and requalify welders across multiple processes including SAW, FCAW, GMAW, and MCAWReview blueprints, weld symbols, and technical documents to ensure proper executionMaintain detailed inspection records and ensure documentation accuracyIdentify nonconforming welds and support resolution efforts with production teamsCoordinate or assist with nondestructive testing activities (UT, MT, etc.)Contribute to corrective actions by providing clear inspection findingsSupport audits by preparing and presenting quality documentationPromote adherence to internal quality standards and continuous improvement initiativesRequirementsWhat You BringActive AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certificationHands-on experience inspecting structural steel in a fabrication settingWorking knowledge of AWS D1.1, D1.3, and related welding standardsAbility to interpret technical drawings and welding symbolsStrong attention to detail and documentation skillsEffective communication and teamwork in a production environmentExperience supporting or coordinating NDT methods (UT, MT, PT) is a plusWhat We OfferHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Paid time off and holidays
