Req #: 187689 Summary Parkview Bryan Hospital and Parkview Archbold are two facilities that provide comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare for a wide variety of surgical specialties. Staff have the opportunity to develop a wide array of skills and techniques while working in a fast paced, family-oriented environment with a team of individuals who strive to provide nothing less than excellent care to our patient population. The Parkview Bryan facility consists of 6 OR suites with 2 additional procedure rooms, 26 ambulatory bays, and 6 PACU bays. The Parkview Archbold facility is an outpatient endoscopy facility consisting of 3 procedure rooms and 10 ambulatory bays. Current surgical specialties performed include: Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/Obstetrics, Endoscopy, UroGYN, Opthalmology, Podiatry, Pain Management, Gastroenterology, and General. Under the Perioperative leader, assumes responsibility and accountability for assuring quality care as a health care team member within the Perioperative environment. The scope of responsibility of the Surgical Technologist includes the ability to anticipate, plan for, and respond to the needs of the patient, surgeon, and other team members. Maintains confidentiality of information regarding patients, patient families, coworkers, and physicians. Education Must have current certified surgical technologist certification; or obtain certification within 12 months completion of a degree from an accredited school of surgical technology; or must provide evidence of employment as a certified surgical technologist prior to July 1, 2009; or must be a current valid licensed practitioner providing evidence of employment as a surgical technologist. Certification must be renewed every four years. Completes required 15 CEU credits annually. Must maintain current CPR certification. Licensure/Certification Must have current certified surgical technologist certification; or obtain certification within 12 months completion of a degree from an accredited school of surgical technology; or must provide evidence of employment as a certified surgical technologist prior to July 1, 2009; or must be a current valid licensed practitioner providing evidence of employment as a surgical technologist. Other Qualifications Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications.
