In-House Photographer / Videographer / Editor

The House of The Perfumist — Houston, Texas

On-site | Minimum 3 days per week | Not a remote position

The House of The Perfumist is looking for an experienced  Photographer, Videographer, and Editor to work directly with the Owner and Creative Director of our luxury fragrance house in Houston.

This position is for someone who can professionally photograph, film, edit, and prepare high-quality visual content for our website, Shopify store, social media, advertising, SEO, and brand campaigns.

What You Will Do

• Photograph luxury products, packaging, materials, and brand content
• Film and edit short-form and long-form video
• Create product photos and videos for Shopify and our website
• Prepare content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, advertising, email, and SEO
• Retouch and edit photography using Photoshop and Lightroom
• Edit professional video using Final Cut Pro or comparable software
• Work between our social media, content, e-commerce, and SEO teams
• Organize and maintain photo, video, and digital asset libraries
• Work directly with the Owner and Creative Director on new concepts, launches, and campaigns
• Use modern AI tools to improve photography, video, editing, and content-production workflows

Requirements

You must:

• Be  local to Houston or the surrounding area
• Be available to work  on-site a minimum of 3 days per week
• Have at least 2–3 years of consistent professional experience in photography, videography, and editing
• Provide a professional portfolio showing work similar in quality and style to luxury, product, beauty, fashion, jewelry, fragrance, cosmetics, or other premium brands
• Be comfortable with professional cameras, lighting, photography, and video production
• Be proficient with  Photoshop, Lightroom, and Final Cut Pro or similar professional editing software
• Have a strong understanding of current  AI creative and editing tools
• Be comfortable working with Shopify or able to learn it quickly
• Be organized, dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Be able to take a project from concept and shooting through final editing and delivery

• Résumé
• Photography portfolio
• Video portfolio or reel
• Examples of work personally edited by you
• A short explanation of your role in the projects submitted
• At least two professional references from previous employers, clients, or companies you have worked with

Equipment Provided

You are  not required to own professional equipment .

The House of The Perfumist will provide the cameras, computers, lighting, software, subscriptions, applications, training, and other tools required for the position.
