Candidates must possess strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills, work well in a multidisciplinary team environment as well as the ability to work independently. We are seeking results driven team players who are passionate about providing excellent patient care and who thrive in a fast-paced environment.Roles and Responsibilities:Performs all respiratory therapy duties in all patient care areas.Proficient in mechanical ventilation, NIPPV, patient assessment, tracheostomy care, high flow Oxygen therapy, airway stabilization/maintenance, patient education, ABG acquisition and outpatient respiratory procedures.Quickly responds and communicates with nursing and providers regarding changes in patient condition.Performs timely and accurate documentationActively participates in patient treatment plan and supports multidisciplinary team rounds.Positive attitude with a patient centered care focus and maintains approachable behavior and acts as a resource to othersRequired Skills and Experience:Education: RRTExperience: New graduates and experienced therapistsLicensure: Active New York Respiratory Therapist LicenseCertifications BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRPPhysical Requirements:Able to stand for long periods of time; requires manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination. Able to perform light lifting, up to 40 pounds. Location and Travel Requirements:Onsite at Cayuga Medical Center: 101 Dates Drive, Ithaca, NY 14850Shift: Nights FLEX. Overnight Shift with rotating weekends.
