Key Responsibilities

• Provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for pediatric and PICU patient populations
• Deliver comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families/caregivers, demonstrating age-specific competency standards
• Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems, applying a scientific knowledge base with ongoing growth and learning
• Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams and integrate family-centered care into all phases of the nursing process
• Apply intensive and continuous clinical judgment to ensure optimal, safe patient outcomes in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Float to other areas of the organization up to competency level as needed; may be required to work major holidays and pick up additional shifts based on department needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Nevada RN license required prior to start date
• AHA BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PEDS/PICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume, Level II Trauma Center or equivalent fast-paced acute care environment
• Familiarity with pediatric-specific protocols and family-centered care models
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to variable schedules including weekends, holidays, and call shifts
