The work Conifer is doing will help provide the foundation for better health for clients across the country through the delivery of healthcare‑focused revenue cycle management and value‑based care solutions. Job Summary Service Line Strategy Director, Service Line Strategy Group – USPI The Service Line Strategy Group shapes the development and execution of USPI’s service line roadmap, focusing on identifying and driving new opportunities. The Director reports to the Sr. Director of Strategy and will be a critical driver of service line innovation, translating strategy into actionable initiatives and enabling system‑wide implementation through tools, guidance, and cross‑functional support. Responsibilities Market intelligence & trend monitoring: proactively monitor industry trends, clinical innovations, cost and reimbursement shifts, and operational best practices to inform strategic direction and identify emerging opportunities. Strategy design & execution: develop, launch, and scale service line growth initiatives across USPI’s national footprint, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational goals and market dynamics. Knowledge management & standardization: codify and disseminate internal knowledge, best practices, and growth initiatives into implementation guides, playbooks, and toolkits to support enterprise‑wide adoption. Implement growth initiatives: lead the execution of select individual and at‑scale strategic initiatives, managing timelines, milestones, communications, and stakeholder engagement. Performance management & iterative improvement: create mechanisms to capture quantitative performance and qualitative feedback from frontline teams and stakeholders, using insights to continuously refine strategy and implementation approaches. Cross‑functional collaboration: build internal support networks (e.g., peer champions) and collaborate closely with operational leaders, clinical teams, managed care, procurement and other support functions to bring the best of USPI to every project and drive successful implementation. Work closely with physician advisors and others to continue to enhance USPI’s service line programs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, public health or a related field required; MBA, MPH or other advanced degree strongly preferred. 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate strategy, healthcare consulting, hospital/ambulatory operations or related field; experience with large‑scale service line rollouts preferred. 3+ years at a top‑tier consulting firm preferred. Proven ability to independently drive strategic initiatives with minimal oversight in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment. Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems and drive to actionable solutions. Strong ownership mentality with exceptional problem‑solving, critical thinking and project management skills. Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex inputs and tailor messaging to diverse audiences. Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional teams and building organizational alignment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data systems (e.g., Power BI dashboards), comfortable independently gathering data, conducting analyses and providing data‑backed recommendations. Up to 15% travel may be required. An MVR check will be conducted for the selected candidate. Key Competencies Strategic thinker with a passion for execution. Self‑starter and autonomous leader.
