Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across all age groups utilizing standardized assessment tools and observational techniques.
Create tailored treatment plans addressing immediate objectives and long-range communication or swallowing goals.
Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting areas like communication, voice, language, fluency, and swallowing.
Partner collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, physicians, occupational therapists, and family members to foster unified care.
Equip patients and families with education and resources to promote ongoing progress beyond the confines of clinical settings.
Support inpatient speech evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation that complies with applicable state, federal, and organizational regulations.
Engage in continuous professional development by staying current with industry advancements and participating in peer collaborations.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based clinical practices for patients of all ages, with profound knowledge of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
Capability to adapt therapeutic interventions to address diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong judgment and analytical skills to navigate clinical challenges.
Proficient with electronic medical records and relevant documentation standards.
