It oversees multiple processes within the accounting department and is entrusted with sensitive information. While the role does not currently include direct reports, it is ideal for someone with strong organizational and cross-team collaboration skills and offers meaningful opportunities for growth. Key ResponsibilitiesRecord cash inflows from credit cards sales, PayPal sales, and checksRecord journal entries Collect, review and monitor accounts receivablesProcess refunds for Customer Service and Practitioner Support TeamEscalate past due accounts to ManagementCreate sales reports dailyPrepare weekly affiliate report Prepare weekly cash reportPrepare and maintain cash position reportEnter all deposits, post all checks and remittancesMaintain electronic recordsAssist with credit applications for customers Assist with month-end close Cross-training with other positions within the departmentAssist with testing new marketing/sales codes and promotionsAssist with Accounts Payable functions as neededUnderstand the transaction and data flow through the company accounting system, Microsoft Dynamics GPAssist in the development and maintenance of system controls to ensure data integrityAssist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and recording proceduresAssist with the completion of year-end records for tax returns preparationComplete special projects as assignedRecord deposits, payments, and bank fees, in QuickBooksReconcile bank accounts in QuickBooksQualificationsRequired:Associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred3+ years of bookkeeping, corporate or public accounting experienceManufacturing or other similar industrial industry experience preferredStrong understanding of GAAPWorking knowledge of cost accounting practicesSystems savvy – strong Excel, Dynamics/GP, and or QuickBooks idealSkills & CompetenciesKnowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting ProceduresAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure/training manualsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret financial dataAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, and owners regarding financial data, business processes, and sales informationAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, percentages, ratios, proportions, and have the ability to apply such concepts to practical situationsAbility to troubleshoot and solve problems related to financial systems and business processesMust be capable in all Microsoft Office applicationsMust be proficient in Microsoft Excel and be able to skillfully apply concepts and formulas including, but not limited to, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF THEN Statements.
