Forum Financial Management, LP is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our back-office team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, month-end close, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, payroll accounting, and the preparation of accurate financial statements. This is a one-year contract position with the potential to transition into a permanent role. This individual will be responsible for: Job Responsibilities & Activities Perform general cost accounting and maintain the general ledger, including journal entries Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements Assist with the month-end close process, including account analysis and reconciliations Conduct periodic budget-to-actual comparisons and investigate basic variances Support the implementation of a new GL system by setting up modules, testing functionality and developing training materials for users Provide support on quarterly and annual tax filings including preparations of 1099s Accounting Operations (AP, AR & Cash Management) Code and process accounts payable invoices, ensuring expenses are charged to the appropriate accounts Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and collections follow-up Reconcile bank accounts, cash disbursements, and other routine financial accounts Maintain corporate checking accounts and related financial documentation Conduct audits to ensure expenses are being properly entered and tracked Payroll Accounting & Audit Support Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes Prepare and maintain payroll records, reports, and reconciliations Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation and maintaining organized financial records Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting. Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles. Proficient with Excel Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience supporting accounting or back-office operations for an RIA or Broker-Dealer Compensation Competitive salary range of $60,000 – $75,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications Why work for Forum Financial Management?
