American Residential Services (ARS), the nation’s largest provider of residential heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical services, is seeking an experienced Retail Alliance Lead Generation Program – Team Manager to lead our retail lead generation program throughout the greater Boston market.

\n

 

\n

This position is responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and managing a team of retail lead generators. The Team Manager will split their time between our Stoughton office and retail partner locations across the Boston area, maintaining a strong presence in the stores and ensuring the team consistently meets expectations for staffing, customer engagement, lead generation, and overall performance.

While visiting retail locations, this leader will coach employees in real time, evaluate program execution, and meet with store leadership to strengthen relationships and address opportunities. The Team Manager will use KPIs, conversion metrics, staffing data, and performance trends to maximize store coverage, team productivity, and lead-generation results.

This position reports to the branch General Manager and Sales Manager. It will also support the in-home sales process and provide management coverage when the branch Sales Manager is unavailable.

Responsibilities: What You’ll Do\n

\n
• \n

  Lead the performance and day-to-day operation of the Retail Alliance Lead Generation Program throughout the Boston market

\n
• \n

  Recruit, hire, onboard, train, schedule, coach, and develop a team of retail lead generators

\n
• \n

  Establish clear expectations for productivity, professionalism, attendance, customer engagement, and lead quality

\n
• \n

  Spend significant time inside retail partner stores providing hands-on coaching and performance support

\n
• \n

  Observe employee interactions and provide immediate, practical feedback to improve engagement and lead-generation results

\n
• \n

  Build and maintain strong working relationships with retail store leaders and branch leadership

\n
• \n

  Meet regularly with store leadership to review performance, resolve concerns, and identify opportunities for improvement

\n
• \n

  Use KPIs, staffing reports, conversion metrics, and performance trends to improve scheduling, store coverage, productivity, and results

\n
• \n

  Ensure the program maintains an effective presence in the highest-opportunity retail locations and during peak customer traffic

\n
• \n

  Hold team members accountable through consistent coaching, performance conversations, and documented follow-up

\n
• \n

  Conduct team meetings, individual coaching sessions, field observations, and performance reviews

\n
• \n

  Coordinate store events, promotional activities, and other lead-generation initiatives

\n
• \n

  Communicate staffing needs, performance updates, opportunities, and operational priorities to the General Manager and Sales Manager

\n
• \n

  Partner with branch leadership to ensure retail-generated leads are supported throughout the customer journey

\n
• \n

  Assist with in-home sales operations and provide management coverage when the Sales Manager is unavailable

\n
• \n

  Help improve appointment conversion, close rates, revenue, and the overall customer experience

\n
• \n

  Promote a positive, customer-focused culture built around accountability, teamwork, and results

Qualifications: What We’re Looking For\n

• \n

  Proven experience hiring, training, coaching, and managing a team of lead generators, brand ambassadors, retail sales representatives, or similar employees

\n
• \n

  Demonstrated success leading a performance-driven team and improving measurable results

\n
• \n

  Experience using KPIs, dashboards, conversion metrics, and staffing data to make informed decisions

\n
• \n

  Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and performance-management skills

\n
• \n

  Ability to build productive relationships with retail partners, store leadership, employees, and branch management

\n
• \n

  Experience supporting retail sales, lead generation, in-home services, or a similar customer-facing program

\n
• \n

  Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple locations and priorities

\n
• \n

  Comfortable dividing time between an office environment and retail partner stores

\n
• \n

  Availability to work evenings and weekends based on business needs

\n
• \n

  Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly throughout the Boston market

\n
• \n

  Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic reporting tools

\n
• \n

  Experience supporting or managing an in-home sales team is preferred

\n
• \n

  Related experience, advanced training, or equivalent education may be considered

\n
