Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for adult to geriatric patients in a PCU/IMCU with a cardiac focus.
• Monitor vital signs, assess patient status, and interpret continuous cardiac monitoring; administer prescribed therapies and medications.
• Manage cardiac populations including STEMI and NSTEMI presentations; participate in care for CTS and CP as indicated.
• Supervise or participate in the use of cardiac drips (Milrinone, Dobutamine, vasopressors) and coordinate transitions between telemetry beds of varying acuity.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans; document accurately and promptly in the medical record.
• Ensure patient safety and compliance with BLS/ACLS protocols; respond to emergencies per unit procedures.

Requirements

• Active registered nursing license in the state of Georgia (or eligibility to practice there)
• Certification: BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/IMCU experience in a facility of similar size (28-bed PCU/IMCU)
• Documented PCU experience in work history
• Ability to work night shifts and meet guaranteed weekly hours in a travel assignment
• Experience in telemetry and cardiac care settings is strongly preferred
