Role: Supplier Quality Engineer (100% Onsite Role in Minneapolis, MN)

About the Opportunity

Hirematic Talent Solutions is hiring on behalf of a confidential client for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to support supplier quality, supplier development, and continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an engineering professional with strong experience in supplier quality processes, new product development, supplier qualification, and cross-functional collaboration.

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota

Compensation: $35-40/hour C2C - Negotiable for strong candidate

Responsibilities

Lead supplier quality activities, supplier issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Partner with Supply Chain on supplier sourcing, qualification, selection, development, and performance improvement.

Work with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and suppliers throughout all stages of new product development.

Lead supplier quality planning and ensure quality requirements are established and maintained.

Oversee supplier validation, FAI, component qualification, and related quality activities.

Develop and maintain supplier scorecards, track KPIs, and work with suppliers on corrective and improvement action plans.

Lead technical reviews of new and existing components with suppliers and Engineering teams.

Conduct and support supplier audits and supplier quality assessments.

Support PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, MRB, SCAR, and other supplier quality processes.

Identify supplier quality risks and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Maintain project documentation and coordinate supplier quality activities to meet project milestones and requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering , or a related engineering discipline.

4+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering , supplier quality, or a closely related engineering role.

Experience with supplier qualification, development, audits, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.

Strong project planning, documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Experience working with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and external suppliers.

Strong understanding of manufacturing and supplier quality processes.

Ability to manage multiple supplier quality activities and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
