Software Test Engineer

Job Duties

We are seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to develop and test firmware for innovative medical devices. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in embedded systems, low-level firmware, RTOS/bare-metal development, and regulated product development environments. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain embedded software and firmware components.

• Define software requirements and translate them into detailed designs and test cases.

• Develop and execute automated verification and validation testing.

• Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and medical device development standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products from concept through release.

• Drive continuous improvement of software processes, tools, and development practices.

• Mentor junior engineers and support project execution as a technical lead when needed.

Minimum Education Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Minimum Experience Required

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of embedded software development experience using C/C++ in bare-metal or RTOS environments.

• Strong knowledge of embedded systems, device drivers, peripherals, and communication protocols/buses.

• Experience with hexadecimal and binary data analysis, manipulation, and debugging.

• Medical device software development experience, including regulated development processes.

• Strong experience writing software requirements, test plans, and automated test scripts.

• Proven debugging and troubleshooting skills for embedded software and test automation.

• Experience throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
