About the Job ***Now offering a limited-time $10,000 sign-on bonus to new full-time hires!*** MedStar Health is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team at the following locations: Medstar Georgetown University Hospital: Full-time: Friday 6:00am-6:30pm, Saturday 7:00am-7:30pm, Sunday 7:00am-7:30pm Full-time: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 7:00pm to 7:30am Medstar Washington Hospital Center: Part-time: Every Saturday and Sunday 7:00pm-7:00am As an MRI Technologist, you will perform a full range of MR imaging procedures promptly on all patient types as specified by the protocol. The role requires the ability to perform venipuncture, injection of contrast media, and non-narcotic medication for effective diagnostic imaging. You will adhere to MR safety policies, research guidelines, and all applicable laws and regulations, following MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's policies and procedures. Primary Duties Perform full range of MR imaging procedures promptly on all patient types as specified by the protocol, including venipuncture, injection of contrast media, and non-narcotic medication as required. Adhere strictly to research guidelines for studies performed on patients participating in research studies, ensuring correct exam, laterality, patient identification, and timing. Provide basic information to patients and families about procedures and answer questions, assist with equipment upkeep, enforce MR safety standards and practices. Monitor equipment, analyze potential malfunctions, contact biomedical engineering, and report to log a ticket, ensuring timely completion of exams through tracking, scanning, and workflow aligned with RIS, ERS, and EMR. Coordinate and collaborate with Technical Aides to ensure efficient room turnover, and communicate with Patient Financial Associates to register radiology exams, minimizing delays and safety issues for the outpatient population. Qualifications Associate’s degree required or certificate in radiologic technology or MRI from a program accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or CHEA. Completed an MRI certificate or cross‑training program preferred. ARMRIT – Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist and/or ARRT (MRI) certification required within 1 year of hire. CPR – Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation/Basic Cardiac Life Support certification upon hire. This position has a hiring range of USD $35.68 – USD $64.71 per hour. #J-18808-Ljbffr
