Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Emergency Services Charge RN, you will oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care adds tremendous value to our nursing team. Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with the department's operational goals and objectives. To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You are an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups, and you are comfortable holding tough conversations. You are responsible for the performance of your people and the unit. You will leverage your specialized expertise to provide rapid, individualized, comprehensive care, making swift and critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing urgent patient care plans for patients of all ages, from minor injuries to life‑threatening emergencies. You will collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, advanced practice providers, paramedics, and support staff, contributing to a high‑pressure, yet highly rewarding, environment focused on immediate stabilization and optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Mentor others in areas such as competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG), and participation in in‑service education. Provide direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and the department. Evaluate care given by staff. Coach staff to improve care. Ensure standard of care is maintained. Exhibit a general understanding of the process for dealing with ethical dilemmas and coordinate the process for obtaining an Ethics Consult. Job Requirements Required Associate of Nursing (ADN), Diploma or foreign equivalent Two (2) years RN experience in applicable clinical specialty Registered Nurse: AZ or compact state license Certified in American Heart Association Basic Life Support – CPR Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support Preferred Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) Previous Charge Nurse experience Previous experience with personal computers Pay Range $42.85 – $63.77 per hour #J-18808-Ljbffr CommonSpirit Health
