Associate Attorney

Job Summary
We are seeking a Personal Injury Associate Attorney with at least 5 years of litigation experience to join their in-office legal team in Tampa. This role requires hands-on experience handling personal injury matters from intake through trial, including mediations, depositions, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
Responsibilities
- Manage personal injury cases from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal filings
- Conduct legal research and case analysis
- Take and defend depositions
- Represent clients during hearings, mediations, inspections, and trials
- Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation proceedings
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to develop litigation strategy
- Maintain accurate billing and time records
- Stay current on case law and procedural updates
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active Florida Bar license in good standing
- Minimum 5 years of personal injury litigation experience
- Trial experience with at least 3 cases tried
- Experience handling all stages of litigation
- Strong legal writing and communication skills
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis
- Strong organizational and time management skills
