Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Reading, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this role, you will support daily operations through clear communication, professionalism, and teamwork while reflecting our caring culture, integrity, and reliable approach to serving people first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify approved entry procedures for employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries while maintaining professional communication and documentation.
• Support Allied Universal and site personnel by communicating important information, documenting daily activities, and assisting with requested security-related tasks consistent with post responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
