Step into a dynamic educational environment as a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) supporting students in a school setting near Millers Creek, NC. This contract opportunity allows you to make a positive impact by working directly with children, helping them reach their fullest potential throughout the academic year.
This rewarding role requires a commitment of 16 hours per week (two days), beginning August 17th, 2026, and continuing through June 4th, 2027. Collaborate with educators and allied professionals to provide essential therapeutic services designed to enhance student mobility, physical development, and academic participation.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina PTA license required
- Experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to develop and implement therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed PT
- Strong communication skills for engaging with students, teachers, and families
- Organizational skills to document interventions and progress clearly and accurately
- Enthusiastic, approachable, and adaptable in a school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering physical therapy services to students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support student success
- Conduct assessments and help create individualized treatment plans
- Document progress, therapy sessions, and outcomes per school and legal standards
- Provide guidance and education to school staff, students, and families
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as needed
