The Rocket Motor Systems team is designing and commissioning automated equipment for high rate production of Solid Rocket Motors at our plant in McHenry, MS. In this role, you will own the electrical design and compliance that keeps facility and equipment power safe, documented, and ready to scale.WHAT YOU’LL DOOwn electrical design and design review for production equipment and facility power at Anduril’s Solid Rocket Motor plant in McHenry, MSSet and enforce internal electrical standards, drawing conventions, and code compliance across the facilityReview and red-line contractor and integrator electrical packages, including panel layouts, single-line diagrams, and load calculationsCoordinate with facilities, construction, and outside engineering firms on power distribution, branch circuits, grounding, and equipment hookupSpecify electrical equipment including transformers, disconnects, breakers, VFD feeds, and control power for new and modified production linesEnsure compliance with NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 70E, and hazardous location requirements for energetic material handling areasLead root cause analysis and corrective actions for electrical failures, ensuring rapid resolution and long-term reliabilityPartner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement initiativesMentor engineers and technicians on electrical design practice and safe work standardsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar8+ years of electrical engineering experience in an industrial or production environmentStrong working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and NFPA 70E electrical safety practicesExperience owning the electrical scope of capital projects from design through energization and turnoverExperience with industrial power distribution including transformers, panelboards, circuit protection, and groundingProficient with electrical component selection, wire sizing, circuit protection, and heat management in control cabinetsExperience producing and reviewing electrical drawings in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similarElectrical troubleshooting up to 600VACMust be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilitiesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS12+ years of electrical engineering experience in an industrial or production environmentProfessional Engineer (PE) license, or eligibility to obtain oneExperience with hazardous location (Class I/II Division 1/2) design for energetic or solvent handling areasExperience with arc flash studies and coordination analysis using SKM, ETAP, or EasyPowerFamiliar with Siemens PLC and control system integrationExperience interfacing with utilities, AHJs, and outside engineering firmsExperience setting electrical standards for a new or ramping production facilityUS Salary Range$143,000—$191,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
