Workforce Development & Communications Coordinator

Abbott seeks a Workforce Development & Communications Coordinator in Austin to design early talent programs, lead strategic communications for field teams, manage new hire onboarding logistics, and support clinical recruitment efforts. The role combines program development, organizational communications, and operational coordination across multiple business units.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute year-round early talent programs including curriculum development, participant selection, and engagement strategies
- Own strategic communications for EP and LAAO business units, partnering across functions to align messaging with organizational priorities
- Serve as central point of contact for new hire onboarding, coordinating system access, equipment, and cross-functional alignment
- Support clinical recruitment by screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and maintaining candidate tracking throughout process
- Measure program effectiveness through metrics and stakeholder feedback to drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources, or related field
- Demonstrated leadership, facilitation, or teaching experience with diverse audiences
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems preferred
