Master Data Management Coordinator

The MDM Coordinator is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant setup and maintenance of supplier master data for commodity and non-commodity suppliers. This role performs detailed validation of supplier, tax, contractual, banking, and supporting documentation to protect data integrity, mitigate fraud risk, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and controls.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review, validate, and process new supplier setups and supplier master data changes. Validate supporting documentation, including W-9s, supplier forms, contractual documents, MSAs, invoices, banking information, and contact information. Review completed supplier document packages for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established controls. Ensure submitted information is complete, accurate, consistent, and compliant with established policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal controls. Validate legal entities, DBAs, disregarded entities, tax information, credit holders, and other supplier attributes against supporting documentation. Reconcile information across multiple documents and systems to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, missing information, or potential risk indicators. Perform required electronic and/or verbal validation of supplier banking information for new setups and banking changes. Identify potential fraud indicators and maintain clear, accurate documentation of all validation steps, findings, exceptions, and escalation actions. Validate supplier tax identification information and maintain required supporting documentation. Research and resolve routine to moderately complex supplier master data issues; elevate higher-risk or complex matters as appropriate. Communicate directly with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to obtain required information and resolve discrepancies. Prepare clear processing instructions following successful validation and authorize requests for downstream processing. Maintain complete and audit ready documentation supporting supplier master data activity. Protect confidential supplier, tax, banking, and organizational information. Serve as an MDM subject matter expert for new system implementations, enhancements, testing, process changes, and special projects. Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum of 2 to 4 years plus work-related experience Strong computer skills with demonstrated working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Excel and Word Strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication skills to include both written, oral and can work effectively with all levels within organization as well as external customers to the business Strong organizational skills, ability to remain focused and driven in a high paced and open work environment Ability to think critically, solve problems independently and exercise excellent judgment and common sense Aptitude to learn specific business processes and adapt to new software Demonstrated work ethic that is results driven. Takes initiative and practices accountable and responsible work habits Ability to work independently and within/across work teams. Adaptable to change Ability to work within a collaborative team environment and demonstrate trustworthiness Regular and reliable attendance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

College courses and/or degree Work experience validating data; and/or, working knowledge of Supply Chain/Procurement supplier set up and maintenance process Energy industry work experience Experience with Access, Right aNGLe, Waterfield, Allegro, Oracle Financials, and/or SAP considered a plus.
