About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x12 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Must have active license to apply Certifications: BLS and NIH required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience - Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, and Pre/Post Cardiac Cath experience - Feeding tube care and management - Pre/Post Hemodialysis management - Accessing ports and managing arterial lines - Blood product administration and central line care - Management of medications, including cardiac and vasoactive drips - Neurological case experience: Craniotomy, CVA, pre/post-neurosurgery - Orthopedics experience: Ortho Trauma, total joint replacements - Respiratory care of ventilated patients and tracheostomy management - Knowledge of isolation precautions and wound care Description: The position is for an IMC/Stepdown/PCU RN. Shifts are 4x12 days with a daily patient ratio of 1:4. The nurse will work every other weekend. There will be no on-call requirements. The clinician may float as needed within their scope to meet facility needs. A fast-paced environment is expected with a high patient throughput. The unit supports diverse patient diagnoses. Nurses are encouraged to utilize interdisciplinary support services during patient care. Candidates should possess robust cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, neurological, orthopedic, plastic surgery, and respiratory skill sets. Cerner experience and teaching hospital background are preferred. This is a Magnet facility with a total of 562 staffed beds.
