About the Position

Skills in cardiac monitoring and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with post cardiac procedures. Ability to care for ventilated patients and manage chest tubes. Experience in wound care and isolation precautions. Description: Position for a Registered Nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit. This role involves working with various patient diagnoses. Candidates must have experience in telemetry and stepdown nursing. The unit is fast-paced with a high patient throughput. Nurses typically have a patient ratio of 1:4. The role may require floating within facility needs. Candidates will work every other weekend. No on-call duty is required. Preferred experience includes trauma care and teaching hospitals. Charting will be done using an electronic medical record system. Candidates should possess strong clinical skills in various areas including respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological care. The ability to manage IV therapy and perform phlebotomy is essential. Successful candidates will demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary for unit needs.
