Civil Project Engineer - California PE

Landset Engineers, Inc . is seeking an experienced, California-licensed Civil Engineer to join our multidisciplinary consulting engineering team.

We are looking for a talented, self-motivated engineer who enjoys both hands-on design and managing projects from concept through construction. This is an opportunity to take ownership of meaningful projects, work directly with clients, and collaborate with experienced professionals in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, surveying, and construction inspection.

What You'll Do

• Independently manage civil engineering projects, including client coordination, schedules, budgets, design, and permitting.
• Prepare site improvement, grading, drainage, stormwater, roadway, and underground utility plans.
• Perform civil engineering design and analysis using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, surveyors, contractors, consultants, and local agencies.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, construction documents, specifications, and technical reports.
• Provide construction-phase engineering support and help resolve project challenges.
• Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to other members of our engineering team.

What We're Looking For

• Active California Professional Civil Engineer (PE) license — required.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related accredited engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant civil engineering experience , ideally in land development and site design.
• Advanced, hands-on AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency — required.
• Strong background in grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility infrastructure.
• Ability to independently manage projects and communicate effectively with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Excellent technical judgment, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Experience with Central Coast projects, municipal infrastructure, roadway improvements, and engineering project management is highly desirable.
