Training Development Manager

Responsible for utilizing instructional design and consulting skills to design training solutions to support the needs of the business and franchises and their employees. Design best in class training solutions that balance the needs of learners with the needs of the business.RESPONSIBILITIESUtilize instructional design and consulting skills to design training solutions to support the needs of the business and franchises and their employees.Design e-Learning from ideation through storyboarding and development as needed.Design and develop instructor-led training curricula including facilitator guides, participant materials and collaborate with field learning for implementation.Project manage and collaborate with project leads, internal clients, subject matter experts and third-party vendors on the development of training.Work independently and as a team member while using discretion in decision making, critical thinking and sound judgment in problem solving.Collaborates on design of training communication and marketing strategy with course releases and updates.Works with cross functional partners on training deliverables plan and effectively manages all deliverables and project team members through to delivery.Car and air travel as needed to attend offsite meetings, visit restaurants for training engagements, etc.EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree or equivalent years’ experienceEXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION5+ years demonstrable instructional design experience designing formal learning solutions in various delivery formats.Ability to conduct needs analysis to design training for specific audiences in alignment with business needs.Critical thinking, decision making, and ability to balance creativity with business needs.Familiarity with conducting all levels of evaluation to assess training usage, impact, and ROI.Project management skills, including experience managing projects with multiple workstreams and cross functional partners, managing vendors, ensuring all team members meet milestones and guiding projects to remain on budget and on time.Experience in applying visual design principles, scripting and directing video shoots and managing outside contractors/vendors.A portfolio of your recent work will be required during the interview process.Comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and multiple workstreams,Ability to work in multiple settings and environments, including corporate senior levels of leadership and restaurant employees.Experience within QSR, retail, or general operations a plus.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIESExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in teams in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility to adapt to varied and changing systems and technologiesSelf-starter with a desire to impact change and drive business and franchisee performanceExperience coaching junior team membersPREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIESFamiliarity with Learning Management SystemsFamiliarity with authoring tools, such as Storyline.Restaurant or retail management experience with training accountability a plusTRAVEL REQUIRED10-20% travelInspire is a multi-brand restaurant company whose portfolio includes more than 33,000 Arby’s, Baskin-Robbins, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dunkin’, Jimmy John’s, and SONIC restaurants worldwide.We’re made up of some of the world’s most iconic restaurant brands, but we’re much more than just a restaurant company.
