Psychiatric Nurse

Location: Lewiston, ME We are seeking an experienced Emergency Psych RN to join a fast-paced Crisis Psychiatric Unit providing care to pediatric and adult patients with acute psychiatric and behavioral health needs. The RN will deliver direct patient care, develop interdisciplinary care plans, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective treatment outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process Develop, implement, and update individualized interdisciplinary care plans Assess patient progress and evaluate treatment outcomes Manage patients with psychiatric conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and detox needs Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and resources Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC Respond effectively in crisis situations while ensuring patient and staff safety Requirements Active Maine RN license Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred) BLS and CPI certification required (CPI must be current prior to start) Minimum 1 year of mental health nursing experience (3 years preferred) Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills Ability to manage stress and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations #J-18808-Ljbffr Ambe Healthcare Staffing
