Immediate Supervisor: Maintenance Supervisor Job Goal: To maintain all HVAC and refrigeration equipment in school district so that full educational use of them may be made at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Participate in all HVAC work (including ice machines, refrigeration, water fountains, etc.) performed by district personnel.
2. Establish and carry out, on a regular basis, a preventive maintenance program for district heating and air conditioning equipment.
3. Recommend and procure supplies and equipment for purchase, and maintain the inventory of district-owned tools, equipment, and supplies.
4. Establish priority of tasks with the Maintenance Supervisor or designee.
5. Conduct Inservice for the district maintenance and building supervisors on preventive maintenance techniques.
6. Advise on qualification for hiring contractors for major repairs.
7. Estimate cost of HVAC renovation or replacement in terms of labor, material, and overhead.
8. Train assigned HVAC servicemen helpers as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or designee.
9. Review HVAC plans for new construction and renovation projects, when requested to do so, and make recommendations.
10. Keep immediate supervisor advised, at all times, of activities and progress.
11. On 24-hour call, available at any emergency due to a breakdown of heating and/or air conditioning equipment. 12. Comply with all relevant local, state, and national building and safety codes. 13. Other duties may be assigned.
Length of Contract : Two hundred forty-five (245) contract days. .
Salary commensurate with experience on the negotiated agreement of the Support Employees of Edmond (SEE).
Evaluation : Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Maintenance Supervisor in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policies, state law, and the negotiated agreement with the Support Employees of Edmond (SEE).
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:
None.

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Oklahoma Contractor HVAC License
Bondable and furnish Bond upon employment and keep in force during employment.
Valid drivers license and a driving record that is acceptable to the school's insurance carrier.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, staff, parents, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to plan budgets and use the mathematical skills required to do so. Maintain accurate records and support documentation for projects under the supervision of the position.
REASONING SKILLS:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.

The employee will sometimes push/pull items such as tables, scaffolds, and air compressors. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
