About the Position As a CNA in our Acute Care Department, you'll work closely with nurses, providers, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care across a variety of hospital settings. Your role will be essential in helping patients maintain comfort, dignity, and independence while receiving treatment. Primary Responsibilities Direct Patient Care Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care needs Support mobility activities, including transfers, ambulation, and repositioning Help patients with meals, hydration, and daily comfort measures Create a welcoming and supportive environment for patients and visitors Clinical Support Obtain and document vital signs Monitor and report observations to nursing staff Record intake and output information Collect specimens as directed Assist with cardiac monitoring and EKG-related tasks Perform delegated patient care activities within scope of training Team Collaboration Respond promptly to patient needs and call lights Participate in shift communication and care team discussions Communicate patient concerns and changes in condition to nursing staff Foster positive working relationships with coworkers and providers Department Support Maintain patient care supplies and equipment Assist with unit organization and readiness Participate in education, training, and staff meetings Support a culture of safety, quality, and service excellence Qualifications Required Active CNA certification Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Preferred Active CNA certification Previous healthcare or patient care experience High school diploma or equivalent Schedule Full-time position Three 12-hour shifts each week Rotating day and night schedules on a six-week rotation Weekend and holiday coverage required Benefits Eligible after 59 days: Medical, Dental, Vision Healthcare Spending Accounts Employer-paid Life & Disability Eligible after 30 days: 401(k) with employer match Paid Time Off and Extended Illness Leave Paid float holidays Why Join Glendive Medical Center?
