Title: Social Content Specialist Location: Greater Chicago area Duration: 3 month assignment with strong possibility of extension Shift: Hybrid - on-site 2 days per week Payrate: $26.66/hr on W2 Must Have: Manager looking for candidates who can create social media content and also star in their own videos and posts. The KCNA Social Media team seeks a highly creative and trend‑savvy specialist who lives and breathes social media, has a sharp eye for design and video editing, and thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. The Social Content Specialist will implement the KCNA social media approach for assigned brands, support light community management duties, and generate best‑in‑class social content with efficiency and excellence. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and agency partners, aligning content with brand strategy and campaign goals. Key Responsibilities Content Creation (90%) Create thumb‑stopping content that resonates with diverse audiences across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Design static graphics and edit short‑form videos using brand guidelines and current trends. Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to align content with brand strategy and campaign goals. Stay ahead of social trends, platform updates, and emerging formats to inform content strategy. Support the creation of social toolkits, templates, and creative briefs. Community Management (10%) Monitor and engage with audiences across owned social channels using social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr). Respond to key comments and messages in a timely, brand‑appropriate manner. Flag emerging issues, trends, or opportunities to internal teams. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in social media content creation (1‑2 years considered for candidates with acting/theatre experience/training). Experience in community management is a plus. Strong graphic design and video editing skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, etc.). Portfolio showcasing best design work or standout social content that demonstrates creative impact. Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices. Excellent copywriting and communication skills. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, design, or a related field preferred. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Experience with social media management tools (Sprinklr preferred). Working Conditions Remote work from the Greater Chicago area. Must have reliable internet access. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on content needs or community escalations.
