Opportunity Overview:

Leadership & Team Management

The Team Leader defines the vision for enterprise meetings and room experiences, translating it into clear standards, priorities, and measurable outcomes. They lead a high-performing team of associates and contractors, fostering a positive, resilient culture grounded in clarity, transparency, and accountability. This includes regular 1:1s (weekly/biweekly), removing blockers, and developing talent through individual plans. They set SMART objectives, review progress consistently, and deliver comprehensive annual reviews. The leader also manages upward with clear status and risk visibility, acts decisively during high-impact incidents, and partners with escalation management to resolve critical issues. Strong collaboration with peer Team Leaders and partner teams is key to firm-wide success.

Vendor, Stakeholder & Innovation Leadership

The Team Leader owns vendor relationships and performance accountability across AV manufacturers, integrators, and platform partners, ensuring SLAs are met and enhancements delivered. They partner closely with internal stakeholders (Facilities, Security, Compliance, RIM, Legal, and platform owners) on requirements, risk posture, and change management. They also drive purposeful innovation with vendors and platforms (e.g., features, integrations, AI-assisted capabilities) to improve reliability, usability, and scale.

AV Expertise & Technical Collaboration

• The ideal candidate has a strong AV foundation, with deep expertise in at least one area and broad working knowledge to guide decisions and build credibility, including:

• Video systems (cameras, displays, LED/video walls, routing/distribution)

• Room design & integration (layouts, signal flow, equipment selection)

• Conference/UC technologies (Zoom Rooms, Teams Rooms, hybrid experience)

• Digital signage & workplace systems (signage platforms, visitor management, facilities-adjacent tech)

• AV-over-IP & networking (Dante/NDI/SDVoE, QoS, multicast, VLANs, security, bandwidth)

• They partner with the Technical Architect on standards and solution design to meet user experience, supportability, and business needs.

Platform & Operations Ownership

The Team Leader owns the enterprise Zoom platform (Meetings, Webinars, Events, Workspace Reservation, Whiteboard, Visitor Management), ensuring enablement, governance, adoption, and scalable support. They oversee the end-to-end room experience across offices and branches, driving consistency, reliability, and ease of use. They guide data-driven dashboards and alerting (e.g., reliability, MTTR, deployment quality) and establish operational standards for documentation, monitoring, and readiness. Work follows a hybrid Agile model aligned to construction and project milestones, with accountability for delivery.

Key Initiatives You'll Lead

• Branch Conference Room Expansion: Scale enterprise standards to branches, aligning design, procurement, installation, and commissioning with construction timelines.

• Digital Signage Growth: Expand and operate signage platforms (standard signage, LED, video walls) with clear ownership and reliable support.

• Home Office Events: Own event technology delivery, coordinating resources for consistent execution.

• New Zoom Capabilities: Lead secure rollout and adoption of new features (e.g., Zoom Whiteboard and future capabilities) in partnership with stakeholders.

Position Requirements:

Required

• People leadership with significant responsibility for coaching, performance management, and delivering results through others.

• Progressive experience in AV/meeting space technologies or closely related domains (room design, control/DSP, UC room platforms, digital signage).

• Proven vendor/partner management experience: performance accountability, SLAs, enhancement delivery, and effective escalation.

• Strong stakeholder management across Facilities, Security, Compliance, RIM, Legal, and peer technology teams.

• Experience planning and executing work in Agile-inspired ways while coordinating with construction stage-gates.

• Systems thinking and integration awareness across AV, networking, identity, calendaring (Exchange), and monitoring.

• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong influencing skills; comfortable managing up with senior leaders in high-visibility situations.

• Strong critical thinking, decision-making, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; effective in ambiguity and fast-paced change.

• Commitment to operational excellence, client-focused outcomes, and continuous improvement.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

• Expert-level depth in one AV discipline (e.g., DSP/control programming, video systems, room design, UC room platforms, digital signage, or AV-over-IP & networking)

• Demonstrated ability to encourage innovation with purpose, promote collaboration/knowledge sharing, and build a positive, resilient team culture.

Relevant certifications (nice-to-have, not required):

• AV & Design: AVIXA CTS / CTS-I / CTS-D.

• Rooms & Platforms: Zoom Rooms / Zoom Admin; Microsoft Teams Rooms (OEM/partner) training.

• AV-over-IP & Networking: Dante (Levels 1-3); CCNA (Enterprise/Collaboration) or equivalent vendor networking (e.g., Aruba/Juniper associate level).

• Quality & QA: AQAV CQT - Certified Quality Technician-AV, CQD - Certified Quality Designer-AV, CQL - Certified Quality Leader-AV; familiarity with the AV9000 quality management standard.

• Control/DSP: Crestron (e.g., Certified Programmer, DM-NVX), Q-SYS (Levels 1-3), Biamp Tesira, Shure IntelliMix.

• Digital Signage: Appspace, BrightSign; visitor-management platform training where applicable.
