Experienced Carpenter – High End Residential Construction

Howard Brothers Builders
Westwood, MA / Greater Boston Area
Full-Time

About Howard Brothers Builders:

Howard Brothers Builders is a fifth-generation, family-owned custom construction company that has been building and renovating exceptional homes since 1890. We specialize in high-end custom residential construction, including new homes, major renovations, additions, specialty spaces, and detailed custom work.

We are a small, close-knit company that takes tremendous pride in our craftsmanship, our reputation, and the relationships we build with both our clients and our employees.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced carpenter with approximately 5–10 years of experience who takes pride in their work and wants to continue developing their craft.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working on high-end, custom projects where quality, attention to detail, and craftsmanship matter more than simply getting the job done.

The right candidate is reliable, hardworking, takes ownership of their work, and is eager to learn. You don't need to know everything—we value people who want to improve their skills, learn from experienced craftsmen, and take on new challenges.

What We're Looking For:

• 5–10 years of professional carpentry experience
• Strong knowledge of residential construction and finish carpentry
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Reliable, dependable, and committed to doing things the right way
• Ability to read and understand plans and construction details
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
• Professional attitude and ability to work respectfully with clients, architects, designers, and subcontractors
• Valid driver's license and ability to commute to various job sites
• A genuine interest in developing your skills and career in high-end construction

What You'll Be Doing:

Our carpenters work on a wide variety of custom residential projects, including:

• High-end renovations and additions
• New custom homes
• Finish carpentry and detailed interior work
• Custom built-ins and specialty spaces
• Framing and general carpentry
• Doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, and architectural details
• Working alongside experienced craftsmen and project managers
• Collaborating with architects, designers, homeowners, and subcontractors
• Maintaining the high level of quality and craftsmanship Howard Brothers is known for

Why Howard Brothers?

Because our projects are highly customized, no two jobs are exactly alike. You'll have the opportunity to work on challenging projects and develop a broad range of skills.

We believe a good company is built around good people. Our employees are the foundation of our success.

At Howard Brothers, you're not just another employee. We're a small, family-run business where people know each other, work together, and look out for one another. We have built our reputation over more than 135 years by doing things the right way—and we approach our employees with the same philosophy.

You will notice we don't frequently have job openings, and our exceptionally low employee turnover speaks for itself. Many of our employees have spent decades with us, as we are committed to creating an environment where talented people can build a long-term career. We believe the first step in building; is building a community, and investing in them.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Work alongside highly experienced craftsmen
• Learn and develop your skills on some of the area's finest homes
• Take pride in detailed, high-quality work
• Be part of a team that values craftsmanship and professionalism
• Grow within a stable, established family business
• Build a long-term career rather than simply take a job

If You're Proud of Your Craft, We'd Like to Meet You.

If you're an experienced carpenter who takes pride in your work, wants to continue learning, and is looking for a company where you can build a long-term career, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply to join the Howard Brothers Builders team.
