Senior Presales Architect - D365 ProjOps (f/m/d)

Overview of the position:

We are looking for a Presales Architect to support our North American business, covering both the United States and Canada , in shaping customer opportunities from a presales perspective.

The ideal candidate is a Dynamics 365 Solution Architect with strong customer-facing and presales experience . This does not necessarily need to be someone who has only worked in a dedicated presales role before — an experienced architect with solid presales exposure, strong communication skills, and a proactive “can-do” attitude could also be a very good fit.

This role sits between sales, solution architecture, and consulting. You will help understand customer needs, translate them into solution approaches, prepare tailored demos, support estimates and SOWs, and contribute to compelling customer proposals.

Responsibilities:

• Support sales and leadership in early-stage customer conversations, discovery calls, and opportunity qualification across North America, including the US and Canada.
• Understand customer requirements and translate them into realistic Dynamics 365 / Power Platform solution concepts.
• Prepare and deliver tailored demos, especially around Dynamics 365 Project Operations , Customer Engagement processes, and related Power Platform scenarios.
• Shape customer-oriented solution proposals together with sales, solution architects, and delivery teams.
• Support effort estimation, scoping, SOW input, and commercial proposal preparation.
• Act as a bridge between sales and delivery, ensuring that proposed solutions are commercially attractive but also realistic for implementation.
• Participate in workshops, presentations, and executive-level discussions with prospects and customers.
• Work closely with the North American team on active presales opportunities.
• Support proposal responses, tenders, RFPs/RFQs, and customer-facing materials where needed.

Your Qualifications:

• Strong background as a Dynamics 365 Solution Architect , ideally with hands-on experience in Dynamics 365 Project Operations .
• Solid knowledge of Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform, and related architecture topics.
• Ability to confidently communicate with customers, understand business needs, and challenge requirements where necessary.
• Experience preparing or supporting demos, discovery sessions, workshops, estimates, SOWs, or commercial proposals.
• Understanding of project-based business processes, ideally including quote-to-cash, project setup, billing, revenue recognition, expenses, integrations, and different billing models.
• Comfortable working across sales, architecture, and delivery teams.
• Strong presentation skills, structured communication, and a pragmatic consulting mindset.
• Proactive, independent, and solution-oriented working style with a strong “can-do” attitude.
• Willingness to support a growing North American practice and work closely with international teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Dynamics 365 Project Operations in integrated environments, e.g. CE + F&O, Dual Write, or other ERP integrations.
• Experience converting larger demo requests into paid POCs or structured project proposals.
• Familiarity with Copilot, AI, Azure integrations, or broader Microsoft ecosystem topics.
• Previous Microsoft Partner experience or a strong Microsoft network in the North American market.
