SALARY RANGE: $38,574.00 - $63,700.00

RECRUITING FOR MULTIPLE POSITIONS

These positions are time-limited, grant funded, full-time. Funding for these positions will end on June 30, 2026; however, funding is expected to be continued through June 30, 2027. The Office of the District Attorney, Prosecutorial District 26, Mecklenburg County, is seeking qualified candidates to provide legal support services to the prosecutors. Duties include but are not limited to the following: answer phones; assist the public; type correspondence; prepare legal documents; prepare files; assist victims and witnesses understand and prepare for court; gather information to assist in the prosecution of cases; and other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies Knowledge of: court system and procedures; legal terminology; and community resources to refer victims and witnesses. Skill in: Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; accurately typing 35-40 wpm; and answering a multi-line telephone system. Ability to: interview to elicit information from victims and witnesses to assure appropriate services; coordinate and schedule the daily operations of the victim and witness program; manage the court appearances of victims and witnesses to ensure their presence in the courtroom when needed; communicate orally and in writing with persons of diverse backgrounds; establish and maintain effective working relationships with law enforcement officers, officials of related agencies and the general public; and calmly handle stressful situations.
