Kindergarten Teacher (Full Time) Location: Glen Urquhart School, 74 Hart Street, Beverly Farms, MA 01915. Starting Date: August 24, 2026. About Us Glen Urquhart School (GUS) is an independent, progressive day school for students in pre-K through grade eight. Located 45 minutes north of Boston in Beverly Farms, GUS was founded in 1977 with an experiential, place-based philosophy that integrates all subjects and creates opportunities for students to pursue their passions. Position The full-time kindergarten teacher is responsible for differentiated and developmentally aligned teaching, understanding how young people learn, and fostering social and emotional growth. The role emphasizes a positive and engaging learning environment. Key Responsibilities Supporting the mission and philosophy of the School. Demonstrating academic excellence through a working knowledge of GUS's core curriculum. Managing a classroom of young children with a teaching partner. Organizing the classroom and establishing routines that support young children's learning. Planning lessons that are interdisciplinary and thematic. Participating in parent conferences and meetings, and communicating with parents regularly. Working collaboratively with all Lower School teachers. Keeping accurate and up-to-date records on student progress. Attending weekly school meetings, school functions, and community events. Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferably in an elementary school setting. Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse and inclusive community. Familiarity with the developmental needs of elementary- age students and current theories and practices that support a dynamic elementary education program. Salary Salary to be determined based on experience and qualifications. Range $45,000-$65,000 per year.
