This position is also responsible for assisting with the preparation of the bi-annual budget and forecasts. Duties are to include assisting with the complete month-end and year-end financial close process, the preparation, analysis, and reporting of financials for internal and external customers, assistance with AP and AR duties as assigned, and assistance with the yearly audit.Essential Functions:Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with company's rules and policies.Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines and regulations. Additional Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Monthly Reporting Prepare and post journal entriesAssist with determination of appropriate monthly and yearly accrualsComplete month-end close duties, including entry of financials into SEMPrepare Corporate reporting requirements including A/R Reports, Functional P&L, Governance Reports, Cost Center Reports, and KPIsAssist in preparation of account reconciliationsPrepare and post reconciling entries based off account reconciliationsPrepare and submit quarterly sales tax estimates as requiredAccounts Payable Research and assist in resolving problems with outstanding invoicesAssist in proper coding of invoices using GL and WBS numbersAccounts Receivable Assist in researching and applying customer paymentsResearch and resolve outstanding AR P.O.D/Invoice issuesPrepare monthly A/R customer statements and collection letters when necessaryMonitor customer discounts taken for early paymentCash Management Retrieve daily bank statements from Deutsche Bank and Royal BankPrepare monthly reconciliation of Bank-to-Book balances and activityAnnual Budgets/Forecasts Assist with development of annual budget and mid-year forecastsComplete other accounting projects as assigned, to include, but not limited to: Assist with yearly financial auditAssist with yearly physical inventory processesAssist with preparation of annual property tax returnAssist with yearly insurance renewalsAd hoc report creationProblem resolutionPOC Accounting Payroll PostingCompetencies: CoreAbility to sort and prioritize workloadManage multiple internal / external customer demandsRequired Education: Bachelor Degree - Accounting or Business Administration Required:0-2 Years Relevant Experience The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Westminster, MD is 56,900 to 71,100 per year.
