Job Title: Travel RN - Med/Surg Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care Med/Surg experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS preferred Must-Have: - 1 year of current hospital acute care Med/Surg experience - Excellent customer service skills Description: Seeking a Travel RN for a Med/Surg unit. The unit has 30 beds and a staff of 53. Staffing varies with 4-6 RNs on day and night shifts, depending on census. Patient ratios are approximately 1:6, with estimates ranging from 1:1 to 3:1. Experience in Med/Surg and Mom/baby with NRP is preferred. Candidates without necessary skills will not be considered. Typical procedures on the unit include cholecystectomy and appendectomy. Candidates should possess a can-do attitude and confidence in their skills. Nights may involve working with one other RN or independently. Resources are available on the floor, though not directly on the unit. Friendly and outgoing candidates with strong customer service skills will be well-suited for this role.
