Collection Representative

Hybrid: 1 day on‑site, 4 days remote with flexibility. Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 9:00 AM‑5:30 PM. Purpose Statement / Position Summary The Collection Representative is responsible for billing and follow‑up related to HMO’s, PPO’s, Medi‑Cal, CCS, GHPP, PCCM’s Managed Care and outside organizations. The role includes responding to inquiries, resolving billing and collection matters, analyzing financial documents, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring accurate billing and timely collections. Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and prioritization skills are required. Required Qualifications 1 year experience in hospital billing and collections, including insurance and government payers. Preferred Qualifications Experience with facility claims for inpatient and/or outpatient billing for commercial and managed care payers. Familiarity with medical billing processes, insurance claims, and medical coding (ICD‑10, CPT). Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software. Knowledge of CCS, Medi‑Cal, and GHPP. Education / Licensure / Certification Required High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
