Program Safety, Planning and Implementation (SMS) Senior Advisor Join the Clean Energy Revolution. As a Senior Advisor at Southern California Edison, you’ll partner with leaders and individual contributors across Edison Safety to strategically integrate safety initiatives into our formal Safety Management System framework, ensuring alignment with other business processes and functions. Your collaboration will focus on identifying and mitigating risks that could lead to serious injuries and fatalities. Additionally, you’ll: Develop new processes and programs to drive Edison Safety strategic objectives and make strategic decisions recommended to senior management. Act as a lead, coordinating with technical experts in areas of safety culture, Safety Management Systems and strategy. Partner with Edison Safety teams and OU stakeholders to align frontline organizations with our Human and Organizational Performance adoption model. Partner with Field Safety, Contractor Safety, and other Edison Safety teams to ensure consistent approaches across the organization and continuously improve our Safety Management System. Responsibilities Develop and run enterprise‑wide safety programs and initiatives; create new processes to advance Edison Safety strategic objectives. Act as a lead, coordinating with technical experts in safety culture, safety management systems, and strategy; influence decisions on practices and policies with internal or external partners. Analyze unique and complex technical problems and deliver solutions where precedent may not exist. Establish project objectives and manage timelines, risk analysis, milestones, deliverables, and budgets; approve tasks and schedules necessary for successful project execution and drive problem solving and issue resolution. Determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results; work is checked through consultation and agreement with others rather than formal management review. Drive implementation of safety programs, policies, and procedures for the enterprise independently with strategic decisions recommended to senior management. Act independently to determine methods and procedures for new or special assignments. Influence company leadership on major initiatives and implement strategic projects. Present, facilitate, and provide recommendations at executive forums; develop materials and reports for company leadership. Conduct advanced-level training and presentations related to safety projects and programs. Provide guidance on work activities to colleagues. Protect the company’s physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets; access and manage private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other highly sensitive information with the highest standards of conduct and integrity. Minimum Qualifications Ten or more years of experience in health, safety, or compliance programs, activities, or systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Safety Management Systems and/or strategy. Bachelor’s Degree in business, science or a related field. Experience leading complex, high‑visibility safety initiatives at a utility. Proficiency in MS Office tools. Five or more years of project management experience. Additional Information This position’s work mode is hybrid. Employees’ll report to an SCE facility for a set number of days and may work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details will be discussed at interview. The primary work location is Rosemead, CA, but the candidate may also be asked to work for an extended period at an alternate location. Position requires up to 20% travel and field work throughout the SCE service territory. Relocation does not apply to this position. Serves in an emergency response role as part of the company’s Incident Management Team, supporting crisis response. This role requires periodic on‑call reporting during the day, night, and weekends as emergencies arise.
