Director, E&S Excess Casualty Underwriting

Lead a High-Performing Casualty Team While Driving Regional Growth

Our client is seeking an accomplished underwriting leader to oversee a successful Specialty Casualty operation. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned E&S casualty professional to lead an established underwriting team while driving regional growth and maintaining key wholesale broker relationships. In this leadership role you will have P&L responsibility..

The team writes E&S Casualty lines of business , with a strong emphasis on profitable growth, broker engagement, and underwriting discipline.

The Opportunity

This role combines technical underwriting expertise, people leadership, and business development. The Director will oversee a team of underwriters and underwriting assistants.

While maintaining a small personal book of business, the primary focus of this role is leading the underwriting team, developing regional marketing strategies, strengthening wholesale broker partnerships, and driving underwriting profitability.
