About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President, Claims Manager for a permanent, hybrid role. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of 5-7 Senior Claims Professionals, with a focus on managing commercial general liability and excess casualty claims. This includes a range of claim types such as premise liability, product liability, and commercial auto BI. The role involves driving the team's performance, serving as a technical referral point for complex claims, and handling coverage and litigation matters within the casualty and excess casualty domains. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' of leadership experience in casualty and commercial general liability claims, particularly with a focus on complex, large loss cases. Experience with excess casualty claims is highly preferred. The role requires the ability to manage and grow a claims team, including overseeing the work of attorneys, and extensive exposure to litigation and coverage investigation, especially with large loss CGL policies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working closely with legal and claims counsel, as well as other internal and external teams. The position is not open to fully remote candidates and is based in the US, with a hybrid work schedule.
