Senior Training Specialist - Insurance

Senior Training Specialist (Insurance) Develop, implement, and deliver blended learning solutions to meet the training needs of the insurance team, combining deep expertise in Property & Casualty insurance with technical knowledge and training excellence. Responsibilities Develop, design, and implement department training curriculum. Deliver new hire and ongoing training programs to employees. Collaborate with employees to assess training needs for new initiatives. Work in tandem with department leaders to ascertain new training components for new product launches. Assess quality of training by using data and metrics to determine ROI on training programs. Develop and implement process improvements and efficiencies for training. Perform gap analysis for departmental training needs. Oversee desk audits of employee practices and procedures, and collaborate with leaders to determine training resources necessary to support improvement endeavors. Collaborate with leadership to review and test new product, system, and procedure implementation. Serve as a coach and mentor to training specialists in the department. Contribute to a positive team dynamic through respectful interactions, positive contributions, and active collaboration to achieve department and organizational goals. Incorporate AAA’s vision, mission, and values in day‑to‑day activities and behaviors; guide and motivate others to remain committed to AAA’s vision, mission, and values. Supervisory Responsibilities None Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (BA) in business or similar field, or equivalent experience. 3+ years’ training experience in insurance. Possess knowledge of relevant industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies (preferred). 3+ years of experience working in industry technology, desktop publishing, or eLearning platforms (preferred). Active Washington State Property & Casualty and Life & Disability insurance license. Technical aptitude in systems and process improvement. Skill in working as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues, establishing rapport, and gaining the trust of others. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing, including effective use of listening skills. Ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflict, relate positively to people in stressful situations, and remain calm under pressure. Able to make sound and timely decisions, understanding the impact and implications and providing feedback on outcomes. Willing to take extra measures and independent action to solve problems and get work done when the situation calls for it. Capable of mentoring, motivating, and guiding others toward both individual and organizational goals. Highly effective facilitation and project management skills.
